New release… It’s only a dollar!   www.brightandearlymusic.com

This is our first attempt at releasing an iTunes single and it happened on a whim… I was on the phone with J.B., who is the singer of Bright and Early one night not so long ago.  We were discussing the idea of MSS releasing vinyl for them.  I told him that it could take a while to get a project like that underway, which led to a discussion on how often it occurs in (music industry) nature where two parties agree to work together, and then one party flakes out.  It’s very frustrating!  I can’t tell you how many people I wish would call me back or email me right now. (Ha, at the same time, I apologize if I owe anyone a phone call.  I know there’s a guest vocal I’ve been putting off tracking for no reason - I’m going to do that today!)  Listening to JB talk about the same things gave me the idea right there - let’s take on a project that focuses on something that we can turnaround fast… kind of a slap in the face to projects that drag on.  Less than ten days later, they were in the studio recording in Lancaster with our very good buddy Kory Gable. Actually, I’m gonna leave this off there for another blog…

We believe in this band so much and are flattered to say we had something to do with this song.  They’ve got style, they’ve got soul, they’ve got a lot on their minds…

Please, please give this song (and peace) a chance.

What’s Next?

Getting right to what i want to talk about. If any of you follow me and what I do musically then you probably know these past few years have been a bit of a “revolving door” for me with the bands i’ve been in. This is certainly NOT how i wanted things to be at all, to me a band has to be a family where every member feels like a brother and every single person believes in what they do so much that they’ll stop at nothing to have a person like yourself hear the music they create. For those of you who know i was playing with New County for sometime, i just want to give you a heads up that i will no longer be playing with them. I’m sure your next question/comment is either why?… or well I saw that one coming… If you’re asking why then it’s simply because I was not in love with the music they were writing. Am i saying it wasn’t good? NO not at all, everyone person in that band is extremely talented musically but plain and simple that type of music was not what i wanted to be playing nor did i feel it represented me as a person. You have to love what you do in life, especially if you’re a musician. For most people it doesn’t happen over night, it takes years. And if you were thinking “I saw that one coming” then i guess you were right. good for you. Not everything in life happens perfectly with your first shot at it, but to this day i still believe you should do what you love, no matter what. What’s the point of life if you aren’t? Music has to make me feel emotion, every type of emotion. It’s something I love, i’m not in it for millions of dollars, though i cant say I don’t want it to pay for my bills soon. I’m in it for the people who have told me “Your music helped me through a really hard time in my life.” or “Your music makes me unbelievably happy.” or even something i have in fact been told before “Your music saved my life.” If that isn’t enough to work harder everyday then i don’t know what is.

So if you are wondering… what’s next?

All i can say is I’ve been given a great opportunity to join a band. I love their music, I’m very close friends with all of them and I couldn’t be happier about moving forward… You’ll know soon enough.

P.S. - thanks to everyone who supports whatever I do musically, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

- Eric J. Camarota

a new chapter…

I’ll get right to my point. As some of you may or may not already know, i am no longer a member of the band The Right Coast.

This past year and a half of my life has been absolutely unreal. I can honestly tell you i’ve loved every second of it. The people, the places, the music and the tours have been in a few words; a blessing. The 4-5 people i was in the band with, Curran and Josh included will alway be my brothers. i love those dudes to death.

I do feel though my time has come to an end in TRC and its time to move on. The true meaning of this post is to thank everyone who ever supported the band and myself. You don’t understand how much it has meant to me. This is my life, you don’t get years, months, days and minutes back. ever. so to everyone who has helped, sang along, became my friend and just simply cared. Thank you. You’ve made my life amazing and continue to. I will always play music i promise you that, its in my blood. If you take anything from this, live your life, follow your heart, dare to dream and just know its ok to take the road less traveled by. You have one life, make it nothing short of amazing. every. single. day.

I hope that i will have your support wherever i may go. I love you all and really cant thank you enough for this amazing year. 2011 is already looking up, way up. You are all my great friends and can message/talk to me whenever you would like. always.

There is so much more i could say, but it really could go on forever. i love you guys so much. thats a fact.

Love,

- Eric James Camarota

Happiness.

It’s strange, at the most random times in your life inspiration can’t hit you. Sometimes I think we could all use a slap in the face to remember who we are, and what we truly stand for (what is in your heart) and how the littlest things can inspire.

Music to me means life and I don’t take this lightly. The past few years of my life i’ve watched music save lives, heal, create happiness, inspire and simply make people feel good. I’m not here to make a buck in this industry, though i’m well aware it’s one necessary way of surviving in this world. I’m hear to touch lives, as music has mine. This is by far no easy road, but my heart is overwhelmed with happiness from the experiences i’ve have had thus far, at this young of an age in my life. Opportunity has presented it self in the most beautiful way possible, and i’m going to take it. I hear questions arise ever so often “why do you like this type music, or that type?” Every person is an individual, let them be them. it’s that simple. If the melody makes you smile, then sing it. Despite what anyone says. I often can’t fathom how amazing music is, and what it can do. It can be mind blowing and this is just one reason why i love it so much. Music is a part of my life that could never be replaced, and I should really thank god everyday that i’m blessed with the ability to create it, and share it with the world. As I type this, i have a smile on my face. I can only hope you do too, and realize this post is not about “music” but happiness. Right behind your ribs, lies one of the most powerful and beautiful things a person could ever posses, your heart. Follow it, i promise you, you will never go wrong.

” I genuinely believe there is a light at the end of every tunnel, some see it some don’t. For some it’s close enough to reach out and grab, for others walls may have been built to keep from seeing it. Never the less it’s there and always will be, it’s my sense of motivation and one more reason to push a little further each and every day. “
